An equestrian paradise, the Rancho Santa Fe area offers a multitude of opportunities-from thoroughbred racing at the Del Mar Race Track to trail riding and polo. Both the Covenant and Fairbanks Ranch offer equestrian centers with access to 45 miles of bridle paths, while the Rancho Santa Fe Polo Club organizes matches from October to May. For competitors, the Del Mar Fairgrounds offers a variety of equestrian events, including a course for eventers. Some of the nation’s finest trainers and competitors in jumping, eventing, saddlebred, dressage and western events plus breed trainers are nearby.
Rancho Santa Fe boasts a number of outstanding golf courses, including the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club, The Bridges, The Crosby, Fairbanks Ranch Golf Club, Del Mar Country Club, Morgan Run Resort & Club and Rancho Santa Fe Farms Golf Club.
The Ranch also offers tennis facilities and hiking trails with some of the best surfing and bathing beaches in Southern California just minutes away. Within an hour’s drive you can find excellent rock-climbing and freshwater fishing in the national forest and state parks.
